Over 150 women in business attended the Red Door Coaching and Training networking event held at the Bristol and Bath Science Park. The event, supported by South Gloucestershire Council, featured Dr Zara Nanu, Nick Elton and Mrs Peaches Golding OBE as speakers. Zara addressed the known and unknown biases in engineering, artificial intelligence and health and how improved practices in recruitment could address gender imbalances in the workplace. In a speech about the lived experience of someone with anxiety, Nick Elton told the audience about his successes and challenges in overcoming such barriers in the workplace and in day-to-day life. The last to speak, Peaches Golding recommended seven habits that successful entrepreneurs cultivate in order to establish, then scale up, a business. 'Based on my experience as a business woman, there are some universal habits that assist entrepreneurs in starting a business, in balancing private and working life and lastly in getting the best out of people,' Peaches explained. There were plenty of opportunities to network during the evening.,
