Honors Carolina class of 2023 visits Bristol

Fourteen undergraduates from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (UNC-CH), visited Bristol as part of their week-long, Honors Carolina programme.  Aged between 18 and 19, Honors Carolina enables its participants to gain experiences, challenge beliefs, establish new networks and gain an insight into the lives of UNC-CH alumni based in countries around the globe.  The British programme is based in Winston House in Bedford Square, London, the academic and social base for the students.  Participants visit alumni working in fields as diverse as the stock market and law to botanical genetics and art museums.  For the past few years, Honors Carolina has visited Bristol to meet HM Lord-Lieutenant Mrs Peaches Golding OBE, a graduate of UNC-CH, to find out more about her role as The Queen's personal representative.  'The young people are so bright, engaged and talented; it's a real pleasure to spend time with them,' Peaches confirmed.  'By coming to Bristol, they have a comparator to London and can experience the cityscapes and environment that a regional capital has to offer.'
