Women in Property SW held their regional awards ceremony featuring over twenty female students from across the South West studying built environment-related courses. The students were nominated for outstanding academic achievements and each displayed her project to attendees at the awards held in Bristol. The students attended the major universities in the South West including the West of England, Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth and more. Regional winners Amy Menzel (University of Bristol) and Emily Hacking (Exeter University) are both studying civil engineering. Both will attend the national awards ceremony later this year at Claridges in London. 'These talented women will have a brilliant future ahead of them, changing the way our cities and communities are shaped and function. Issues such as climate change, sustainability and resource management will define their careers in ways never before imagined,' said Mrs Peaches Golding OBE, HM Lord-Lieutenant for Bristol, in her keynote address.
